From an early age Matt had his eye set on a career in broadcasting. Starting off as a writer for SMTV Matt became widely known, and sometimes infamous, as resident interviewer for Holy Moly TV.

Matt's unique irreverent style is perfectly showcased as the presenter for music show Freshly Squeezed on CH4 as well as seeing him complete two series of Pocket TV, a weekly online entertainment & music show. Following this success, Matt became the official face of The Fan Factor, an online weekly that was broadcast on the ITV website taking a cheeky look at the X-Factor live shows.

Radio 1 snapped up Matt admiring his quirky presenting style leading him to secure his own show, The Matt Edmondson Show, taking over the Wednesday night slot from 9-10pm. 

Matt joined the T4 presenting team on 23rd April 2011, and went down a storm with the head of T4, Neil McCallum, stating that "his dedication, charm and thorough knowledge of all things T4 meant it was only a matter of time before he'd permanently infiltrate the team and join ranks with Rick Edwards, Jameela Jamil, Nick Grimshaw and Georgie Okell. It's great to have him on board." 

In January 2013 Matt moved to the weekend morning slot 10.00-13.00 on Radio 1, taking over from Vernon Kay.
