Amanda Star

Amanda Star is an award-winning London-born Ghanaian events/radio host, presenter and voiceover artist who, after just a few years of working in the UK’s prominent urban entertainment industry, is fast living up to her surname.

Not long after getting her first radio gig with Martin Jay as a producer on Choice FM, it wasn’t long before Amanda was approached to host the world-renowned LoveDough showcase in London. Whilst there she worked with some of the biggest names in the industry from artists such as A$AP Rocky, Emeli Sande, Labrinth, Miquel, Eve, Maverick Sabre, Delilah, Skepta, plus many more.

Quickly making a name for herself in her own right, she was soon hosting various live music showcases in the UK, as well as the Uni Trash Show on Ministry of Sound Radio. This led to Amanda attracting the attention of The Beat London (Formally BANG RADIO), joining them to present the Drive Time Show.

Thanks to her infectious laugh and comedic style, Amanda has been asked to host numerous high-profile events alongside her radio work, interviewing the likes of US R&B star Omarion, Hip Hop artist EVE, Marsha Ambrosious and reggae artists Julian Marley, Protoje & Chronixx.

Also starring in online reality TV series Status London, Amanda has been nominated for three UK Entertainment Awards, including Favourite Presenter and recently winning an award for Best Online/Radio Show. She has presented an award at the Screen Nation Awards, hosted the Fabolous concert at the Indigo O2, the African Pride Awards, the biggest urban music conference in Rotterdam – ‘New Skool Rules’,  and compered twice at Europe’s leading Afro Hair & Beauty Show. She has also done voiceover work for The KA & GRM ‘Rated’ Awards and BET.

This year Amanda made her second appearance at the Indigo O2 by hosting the Omarion & Bobby V Concert.

Her exuberant personality is hard to overlook, as her mixture of street smarts & comic timing make her an excellent choice to host any event.
